`for a 65 foot tall open wood clad, free form sculptural assembly used as a visual icon. It fully
`encapsulates a bar at the mezzanine level and contains lighting.
`“Band in the Bubble” MTV Production; New York, NY; for Showmotion; Project Manager for
`the design of a temporary structure and stage for the reality show “Band in the Bubble.”
`Supervised and supported the development of the framing and concept details.
`• Retractable Façade for Brownstone; New York, NY; for Bill Peterson AIA; Project Manager for
`a mechanized retractable façade, which opens to transform a living room into an open air space.
`McLaren design includes specialized winches and rigging as well as specifying a control system,
`including redundant safety features.
`• 2005 Jeep Climb Up 2 Penn Plaza; New York, NY; for Scenic Technologies; Project Manager
`for a one of a kind promotional event in which a Jeep Grand Cherokee made a 414ft climb to a
`“Jeep Only” parking space at the top of 2 Penn Plaza. McLaren provided structural and
`mechanical engineering services for this fast track project including structural assessment and
`mechanical trolley design.
`• Food Network Popcorn Challenge; Disneyland, Anaheim, CA; for High Noon Entertainment;
`Project Manager and on-air judge for world record breaking popcorn sculpture construction to
`be aired on an episode of “Food Network Challenge.” Researched materials, evaluated safety
`and stability of sculpture and construction, performed laboratory testing of proposed
`construction materials, and provided on site safety oversight during construction.

`Project Manager for the structural evaluation of large, nested house set that included three
`independent units that move vertically via winch rigging. Provided engineering review for
`theatrical renovation needed to accommodate both the performer fly rigs and fall arrest system.
`• “Tarzan the Musical” at Richard Rodgers Theater; New York, NY; for Disney Theatrical
`Productions; Project Manager and Principal Design Engineer for major theater renovation
`needed to accommodate two performer fly rigs over the audience.

`Project Manager for theatrical structures, including band loft structures and 3 ft. diameter pipe
`columns with cantilevered platforms and helical stair.

`evaluations, as well as the engineering of a huge traveling portal frame that contains a lift with

`Clancy; Project Manager and Principal Design Engineer for the design of custom stage
`equipment including lifts, slat lids, and turntables as well as pit framing systems for a thrust stage
`and stage apron. Engineered seismic upgrade of rigging system and designed rigging equipment
`supports. Included supervision and development of shop drawings and performance of site
`observations on completed work.
`• Cirque du Soleil “KA” at MGM Grand; Las Vegas, NV; for MGM Grand and Cirque Du Soleil;
`Project Manager and Structural Engineer of Record for structural and mechanical design services
`for the decks and supporting structures of two large-scale mechanized stages as well as
`engineering services for a variety of production rigging systems, house arbor guide seismic
`upgrades, and supports of these rigging systems. In taking the vision and making it a reality,
`kinematic studies were performed to assess varying factors such as geometry, weight, and speed

`versus horsepower and their relationship to costs and power requirements. The results are two
`of the largest pieces of stage machinery ever produced.

`• Mohegan Sun Casino; Uncasville, CT; for Themeing Solutions, Alexander Manufacturing,
`Showmotion; Project Manager and Principal Design Engineer for the design and analysis of a
`variety of interior architectural themeing elements throughout the casino for major expansions
`in 2001 and 2008. Responsibilities included the design of a barrel vault ceiling, various retail
`storefronts, beaded canopies and torchieres, as well as performing site observations of
`completed work.
`• Kinetic Atrium at Wynn Casino; Macau; for Wynn Design & Development; Project Manager
`and Principle Structural Engineer for concept development phase for a public show in the
`atrium, in which engineered bid drawings and specifications were developed. Project Manager
`for subsequent engineering design of custom, Kinetic Atrium show-action architectural features,
`including a lift, turntable, stage wagons, traversing LED ceiling, chandelier that flies and
`reshapes, and two sculpted domes that open into a number of sections.
`• “Switch” Restaurant – Encore at Wynn Las Vegas; Las Vegas, NV; for Wynn Design &
`Development; Project Manager for concept development phase for kinetic architectural features
`in the main dining room, in which engineered bid drawings and specifications are being
`developed to change the décor and atmosphere in full view of the patrons. The décor includes
`mechanical actuation schemes and related structural framing for custom features, including
`moving walls, folding ceiling feature, multiple chandeliers with folding flowers, sliding panels
`and large moving draperies.
`• Cosmopolitan Chandelier Bar; Las Vegas, NV; for Themeing Solutions; Project Manager for
`three story architectural themeing installation, which creates the world’s largest single
`chandelier. The elements include thousands of strings of glass beads on cables draped from
`level to level, and supported by suspended tubular “spines” at the ceiling and by mezzanine
`edges. The 200 spine tubes are supported by 200+ hanger tubes from secondary steel and
`braced laterally to resist cable thrust and seismic forces. The Feature also includes tensioned
`strings, cantilevered hoop supports for glass beads, and architectural fascia enclosures.
`• Architectural Fit-Out at Wynn Las Vegas; Las Vegas, NV; Project Manager for structural
`engineering services for the framing and overhead rigging schemes of moving "parasol" styled
`hanging elements, and for curved polycarbonate lighting panels with steel framing that
`surrounds a chandelier at the north porte cochere of the Wynn Las Vegas Hotel and Casino. In
`addition to structural design, McLaren performed fabrication inspection as well as analysis of
`several elements using 3D matrix structural models.
`• Potowatomi Casino; Milwaukee, WI; for MJM Studios, Inc.; As Project Manager and Principal
`Design Engineer provided design and analysis of interior and exterior themeing elements for
`new casino.
`• Non-McLaren “Buccaneer Bay” Show, Treasure Island Hotel/Casino; Las Vegas, NV; Performed
`third party review of a full scale 18th Century ship component design. Designed transport dolly
`and field attached ship stern.
`• Non-McLaren “Siegfried & Roy”, Mirage Hotel/Casino; Las Vegas, NV; for Showmotion; As
`Project Manager and Principal Design Engineer designed a stage set for permanent illusionist
`and animal show. Project involved design of a two-story stage lift pulled by cables, collected

`CONCERTS & EVENTS
`• “The Wall” World Tour 2010 & 2013; for Tour Production; Project Manager for structural and
`mechanical engineering design and review of portable stage and overhead rigging assembly for
`Roger Waters. The custom set included flying followspot chairs above the stage and audience,
`multiple lifts on stage, wall-building bricks with internal telescoping stabilizers and other
`supports, and animated inflatable puppets.
`• U2 360° World Tour Stage; Project Manager for the structural and mechanical engineering
`evaluation of the stage equipment for the U2 360° World Tour. The review included
`calculations on the customized main stage decks, the B-stage decks, and several mechanical
`lifts. Along with the review of the stage and set elements, services also included a third party
`review of the complex “Claw” Structure and overhead rigging.
`• “Soul 2 Soul II” National Tour 2006; for Tour Production; Project Manager for structural and
`mechanical engineering review and analysis of portable stage and overhead rigging assembly
`for Faith Hill and Tim McGraw. The stage was covered with LED panels and contained lifts for
`the stars. The overhead rigging supported a multitude of lights, motorized lighting effects,
`chandeliers, motorized curtains, and speakers.
`• Tina Turner World Tours 2000 and 2009; for Tait Towers; As Project Manager and Principal
`Design Engineer provided structural and mechanical design of stage and a translating and
`pivoting “crane-like” performance platform that presents the lead performer over the audience.
`Provided site observations of completed work.
`• Superbowl 35, 38 & 39 Halftime Shows; Tampa, Houston & Jacksonville; Project Manager for
`the structural and mechanical engineering design, analysis and review services for the custom
`portable staging and lighting towers used in the Halftime show, as well as temporary production
`lighting throughout the stadium. Designs have included curved steel truss towers made from
`chrome-moly steel, cable-stayed lighting truss towers, custom performer lifts, and LED panel
`assemblies. The various towers manually hoist into position during set-up.
`• Live Events; Engineering Design/Review of rigging, stages and scenic elements for live events,
`evaluation of loads on existing facilities due to productions, and filing documents with local
`authorities. Notable events include: Superbowl Boulevard LED Columns (2014); TWC High Line
`Stages (2014); Turbo Snail Climb up Rockefeller Center (2013); Ultra Music Festival (2013);
`Electric Zoo (2012 & 2013); David Blaine – Electrified at Pier 54 (2012); Chanel Fine Jewels at

`• Billy Graham Staging, Flushing, NY; Project Manager for the inspection and conditions
`assessment of the New York Pavilion at Flushing Meadows Corona Park to be used as a VIP
`complex for the Billy Graham Crusade. Elements inspected included compression rings, support
`cables, monolithically cast concrete towers supporting the roof and a masonry mezzanine
`structure.
` ‘N Sync “No Strings Attached” Tour; Project Manager for the structural engineering review
`and analysis of the portable mechanized stage platform used during the summer tour. The show
`featured a 10-foot x 18-foot mobile, elevated stage designed to present the five performers of
`the group on a translucent platform approximately 10-feet above the audience. Also provided
`periodic on-site observations of the mobile platform system and assessed the stationary stage
`and “ribbon” style performer lifts.
`• Non-McLaren “Moscow Circus”, North American Tour; for Showtech; As Project Manager and
`Principal Design Engineer provided design of overhead framing for touring circus. Included
`aluminum pipe space frame (27’ x 49’); field bolted component assembly.
`• Non-McLaren “Wild Wild Wild West” Stunt Show; Universal Studios, Japan; As Principal
`Design Engineer provided Structural engineering design of a dropping barrel and guide system
`for a stunt show.
`AMUSEMENT RIDES AND DEVICES
`• “Sea Glass Carousel”, Battery Park; New York, NY; for Battery Conservancy; Project Manager
`and principle structural engineer for custom, multi-axis carousel. This ride features three
`turntables within a larger turntable, with more than two dozen “fish” themed rider vehicles. The
`vehicles move up and down, plus swivel to create the effect of swimming through the water.
`The ride features integrated audio and lighting experience.
`• Non-McLaren “Star Trek the Experience”, Las Vegas Hilton Hotel/Casino; Las Vegas, NV; for
`Scenic Technologies; As Principal Design Engineer designed show action and scenic framing
`for quick scenery change for themed attraction. Designed structure of motion simulator.
