`WordPerfect Office 12 is the newest version of the office suite form Corel and has long been
`considered a leading alternative to Microsoft Office. WordPerfect 12 is the latest release in the
`Corel Office Suite. The standard edition was released on April 27, 2004 and costs S299. They
`also have a student edition costs $100.
`
`According to results of the desktop deployment tracker survey in May 2004, 9% of businesses
`and 10% of households that were surveyed had Corel on the machines.1 Note that this does not
`imply that Corel is exclusively installed on these machines. The external vendor NPD report
`based on units of US retail shows that Corel share is around 1-2% in the period from February to
`May 2004. In May 2004, Corel 12 share was around 1% and Corel share was around 1%.1
