`
`
`Case No. IPR2016-00822
`U.S. Patent No. 7,064,197
`
`The Board has scheduled oral hearing for this IPR proceeding (IPR2016-
`
`00822) and another pending IPR proceeding between Petitioners and Patent Owner
`
`(IPR2016-00820) for June 1, 2017. Paper 18 at 3. Pursuant to 37 C.F.R. § 42.70(a),
`
`Petitioners request oral hearing on the instituted grounds of unpatentability in each
`
`of the proceedings and all other pending issues presented in the pleadings (e.g.,
`
`Motions to Exclude). Given that both the proceedings involve the same patent and
`
`the issues and prior art references for the two proceedings overlap, Petitioners
`
`request a total of one hour of consolidated argument time for Petitioners, without
`
`restricting Petitioners to a particular schedule for the issues in each proceeding.
`
`Petitioners requests that, in addition to lead and back-up counsel (five
`
`individuals), five additional spaces be reserved at the oral hearings to
`
`accommodate Petitioners’ corporate representatives and counsel.
`
`Petitioners also request the ability to use audio visual equipment to display
`
`demonstratives and exhibits, including the use of a computer, projector, and screen.
`
`Petitioners additionally request that two attorneys at Petitioners’ counsel’s table be
`
`allowed to use computers at the hearing (in addition to the counsel making the
`
`argument using his or her computer to show the demonstratives), to avoid the need
`
`for the parties to bring entire paper copies of the record into the hearing room and
`
`to facilitate efficient answering of panel questions.
