`My career in pharmacy has included: consulting, surveying, outpatient clinics, community and hospital

`pharmacy, compounding, expert witness, as well as teaching at the university level. As a consultant to the
`
`pharmaceutical industry for over 16 years, clients are always satisfied that the information that they receive from
`
`me is current, relevant, useful, and cost effective. As a clinical pharmacist, I have always been interested in
`
`seeking unique pharmacologic and pharmacoeconomic solutions to patient care. My publications cover
`
`pharmacoeconomics, drug delivery, therapeutic modification, and oncology specific topics. My experience in
`
`pharmacy practice and clinical pharmacy makes me valuable as an expert in a variety of pharmacy and medical
`

`Areas of Expertise
`
`Assessing and recommending handling policies and procedures for managing hazardous pharmaceutical waste
`
`in health care systems. Providing expert witness research and opinion. Establishing policies and procedures for
`
`safe clean room operation and compliance with USP 797, USP 800, and NIOSH regulations, leading to successful
`
`accreditations. Designing and delivering hands-on provider training to develop the understanding of
`
`chemotherapy agents and their proficiency in its use. Instructing colleagues, staff, and students in proper
`
`aseptic technique and the handling of cytotoxic drugs. Preparation and oversight of chemotherapy agents such
`
`as methotrexate, mitomycin, and monoclonal antibodies for oncology, rheumatology, ophthalmology, and
`
`dermatology inpatient and outpatient clinics. Creating in-house training manuals for oncology pharmacist
`
`positions and ensuring that documentation complies with current federal and state government requirements.

`Advising physicians of their inpatient and outpatient pharmacy costs and recommending alternative efficacious
`
`therapies aimed at reducing financial risk as well as restructuring chemotherapy roadmaps.

`marrow transplant clinical pharmacy practice. As a Surveyor, Consultant Pharmacist, and Lecturer, I spend a
`
`portion of my time in hospitals, with Executives, Physicians, Pharmacists, Nurses, Technicians, and private
`
`practice staff about their policies and procedures, the pharmacoeconomics of their operation, pharmacology,
`
`cash flow, inventory management, and aseptic technique, hazardous drug handling, and using new drug entities
`
`vs. the standard. My role is to promote safety, sound economic policy, and excellent patient care.

`I travel throughout the country to various hospitals training their Pharmacy, Nursing, and Environmental Health

`personnel on handling hazardous pharmaceutical waste. Being a specialist in Oncology Pharmacy gives me a

`unique perspective and skill set that clients find very helpful for instructing their staff in managing hazardous
`
`drugs. Duties include conference calls with clients before evaluating the hospital, assessing the processes onsite,
`
`as well as detailing the PharmEcology program and setting up training schedules. I have trained all shifts and
`
`specialize in both lecturing and one on one training as needed.

`outpatient clinic pharmacy duties included order management, chemotherapy profile monitoring, drug

`information, emesis management, staff education, and patient counseling. My duties include supervising
`
`technicians, order processing and dispensing, formulary management, DUR, dosage adjustments,
`
`pharmacokinetics, establishing oncology protocols, and drug information.

`As a DUR specialist, I assisted health care professionals with prescribing effective pharmaceuticals for their

`in reimbursement and compliance issues on a daily basis and oversaw technical staff in workflow management.
`
`As part of a cohesive team to serve insurers, providers, and patients, I was constantly utilizing the latest
`
`technology in seamless electronic medical records and working from remote sites. I was depended on to be a
`
`leader, a teacher, and an innovator.

`national NCLEX exam, a 100% pass rate in 2009. My role was to deliver live didactic lectures as well as online

`learning. I designed the Pharmacology section, still being used today, and created study guides and exam
`
`questions. I was awarded the Distinguished Faculty Award, UMass Medical School Graduate School of Nursing
`
`for 2009-2010.

`Oncology outpatient clinic pharmacy duties included chemotherapy profile monitoring, dosage calculation and

`pharmacokinetics, drug information, BMT admission counseling, warfarin monitoring and discharge counseling,

`chemotherapy monitoring, clean room compounding and dispensing, investigational drugs, staff inservicing,

`and Pyxis management. Departmental duties included new pharmacist orientation and training, air quality
`
`monitoring and testing of the dispensing areas, computer training, committee work, new facility design and
`
`strategies, and precepting Mass College of Pharmacy students. I served as the UMass Memorial Pharmacist
`
`Investigator for the Children's Oncology Group.
