`
`DECLARATION OF JAMES R. STEELE
`
`I, James R. Steele, hereby declare as follows:
`
`1.
`
`I am the President and founder of Petitioner Dynamic Air Inc.
`
`(“DAI”).
`
`2.
`
`3.
`
`I founded DAI in 1969.
`
`I raised the possibility of filing IPRs with DAI’s attorneys at Carlson
`
`Caspers before they ever mentioned this possibility to me. I got this idea because I
`
`had seen an article describing the IPR process and I thought this process may be an
`
`efficient way to prove that M—I Drilling Fluid UK Ltd.’s patents were invalid.
`
`DYNAMIC AIR INC.
`EXHIBIT 1074
`
`
`
`I state under penalty of perjury that the foregoing is true and correct.
`
`I understand
`
`that willful false statements and the like are punishable by fine, imprisonment, or
`
`both.
`
`Dated:
`
`mes R. Steele
`
`President of Dynamic Air Inc.
