`The real party-in-interest is RAYTHEON COMPANY, a corporation
`
`organized under the laws of Delaware with a principal place of business in
`
`Waltham, Massachusetts, and the assignee of U.S. Patent No. 5,591,678 (the ’678
`
`patent”).
`
`(2) Related Matters – 37 CFR § 42.8(b)(2)
`
`Patent Owners submit that the ’678 patent is the subject of two pending
`
`patent infringement lawsuits brought by the Patent Owner in the United States
`
`District Court for the Eastern District of Texas: (1) Raytheon Company v. Samsung
`
`Electronics Co., Ltd. et al., Case No. 2:15-cv-00341 and (2) Raytheon Company v.
`
`Sony Kabushiki Kaisha et al., Case No. 2:15-cv-00342. Petitioners have also filed
`
`another petition in May against the ’678 Patent in IPR2015-01201. The Board
`
`instituted trial on the petition on December 3, 2014. Samsung Electronics, Co.
`
`Ltd., Samsung Electronics America, Inc., and Samsung Semiconductor, Inc. filed a
`
`petition on March 10, 2016 against the ’678 Patent in IPR2016-00739. The Board
`
`has not yet determined whether it will institute trial on any ground in Samsung’s
`
`petition.
`
