`
`3. Detailed description of the Invention
`The present invention relates to a tractor body frame.
`A vehicle body frame where an engine, a clutch housing, and a mission case are conjoined and
`fixed to one another to function as the body frame has been widely used; however, it has a drawback
`in that the conjoined and fixed area is vulnerable to loosening due to the operating machine load such
`as a rotary, a loader, or the like. Further, in order to resolve such drawback, there is a type having a
`structure where a pair of left and right frames formed longitudinally long is mutually coupled to a
`transverse beam and a transmission case to form the vehicle body frame, and the engine and the
`clutch housing are loaded on the vehicle body frame so as to bear the external load by the left and
`right frames. However, the left and right frames preferably have a small cross section for weight
`reduction, and also in order to reduce the turning radius, a disposed spacing between the left and right
`frames is preferably as narrow as possible, and it is particularly preferred to be narrower in the area
`where a front wheel turns.
`Thus, the present invention is proposed to meet these demands and the following technical
`means is taken. That is, a tractor body frame is configured such that a pair of left and right frames
`(1)(1), formed longitudinally long, is mutually coupled by a transverse beam (2) or the like, forming
`the vehicle body frame (F) having a transmission case (5) coupled in the rear end section of the left
`and right frames (1)(1), the front section of the body frame (F) supporting a front axle (9) and the rear
`section of the transmission case (5) supporting a rear axle (11), respectively, wherein a longitudinal
`direction intermediate section of the left and right frames (1)(1) are formed having a bulge formation
`laterally outward, and these bulging sections (X)(X) are formed to surround the outer bottom portion
`of a clutch housing (15) linked to an engine (7) supported in the front section of the vehicle body
`frame (F), and left and right vertical columns (18)(18) that support the rear section of the equipment
`frame (23) provided to support the equipment near a bonnet (24) are vertically provided near the
`bulging sections (X)(X).
`The present invention is able to obtain the following technical advantageous effects by such
`configuration. That is, because the left and right frames (1)(1) are formed so as to surround the
`outside of the clutch housing (15) by the bulging sections (X)(X) where the left and right frames
`(1)(1) are formed outwardly in the left and right directions, the left and right frames (1)(1) of
`frontward sections of these bulging sections (X)(X) can be formed with a sufficiently narrow
`disposed spacing between the left and right frames. Therefore, a steering turning angle of the front
`wheels (8)(8) that steer and turn near the narrow formed section can be sufficiently sharp. Further,
`because the left and right large vertical beams (18)(18) that support the rear section of the equipment
`frames (23) provided to support the equipment near the bonnet (24) are vertically provided near the
`bulging sections (X)(X), the equipment near the bonnet (24) can be solidly supported by the bulging
`sections (X)(X) of the left and right frames (1)(1) where rigidity for th lateral rolling is enhanced so as
`to be sufficiently solid and strong even though the left and right frames (1)(1) are a small size.
`Next, one example of the present invention is described with reference to drawings. FIG. 1
`illustrates an entire side view of a tractor; FIG. 2 illustrates a plan view of the essential parts; FIG. 3
`illustrates a side view of the essential parts of a vehicle body frame; and FIG. 4 illustrates a plan view
`thereof. However, a pair of left and right frames (1)(1) formed longitudinally long is mutually
`coupled by a transverse beam (2), a front axle bracket (3), a transverse beam (4) or the like, the rear
`end section of the left and right frames (1)(1) are attached at near a longitudinal direction intermediate

`
`section of a transmission case (5) by bolts (6)(6) to form a vehicle body frame (F), a front axle (9)
`supporting front wheels (8)(8) is pivoted so that the left and right sections of the front axle (9) can be
`swung vertically by using a center pin to the front axle bracket (3), and rear axles (11)(11) supporting
`left and right rear wheels (10)(10) are attached to the left and right rear sections of the transmission
`case (5). The engine (7) supports brackets (12)(12) that are attached to brackets (13)(13) that are
`attached to the left and right front portions thereof to the upper side of the left and right frames (1)(1)
`via front section vibration-proofing materials (14)(14) (FIG. 5(b)), and supports a bracket (16)
`attached to the rear section of a clutch housing (15) conjoining with the rear section of the engine (7)
`to the left and right sections of the transverse beam (4) via rear section vibration-proofing materials
`(17)(17) (FIG. 5 (d)).
`The basic cross-sectional shape of the left and right frames (1)(1) is a [ shape as illustrated in
`FIG. 5(a) to (d); however, in the front section area, as illustrated in FIG. 5(a) and (b), the lower side is
`not provided for the upper side (a1) or (a2), and furthermore, the lower portion of a vertical piece (b1)
`or (b2) has a tilted shape so as to be closer to the center side in the left and right directions and the
`upper portion is hardly in contact to the vertical pieces (b1)(b2) when the front wheels (8)(8) are
`operated to turn sharp. Furthermore, in order to improve the stability by lowering the support position
`of the engine (7) and to improve the forward view, the upper side (a2) is formed to be lower than the
`sides (a1) (a3), and the like in other positions. Moreover, these left and right frames (1)(1) are
`formed having a bulge formation laterally outward near the clutch housing (15) as illustrated in FIG.
`2 so that the lower portion of the clutch housing (15) is formed dropping down between the bulging
`sections (X)(X) of the left and right frames (1)(1), and the bulging sections (X)(X) for the bottom
`section of the clutch housing (15) are placed at locations near the lateral outward, other sections of the
`left and right frames (1)(1) are disposed by narrowing the lateral distance, particularly near the front
`axle bracket (3) is formed so that the lateral distance is further narrower of the left and right frames
`(1)(1), and accordingly the turning angle of the front wheels (8)(8) can be sharp.
`The vertical beams (18)(18) are vertically provided and fixed at these left and right bulging
`sections (X)(X) as illustrated in FIGS. 3 and 4, a battery mount (19) is attached to near the front end
`section of the left and right frames (1)(1) via brackets (20)(20), a front section vertical beam (21) is
`vertically provided and fixed to the left and right sections of the battery mount (19), the front section
`vertical beam (21) of the left and right and upper section of each vertical beam (18) is mutually
`coupled with a lateral frame (22) to be an equipment frame (23), equipment such as a radiator (25), a
`battery (26), headlights (27)(27), a muffler (28), steering handle (29), and the like, is provided near
`the bonnet (24) and supported by the equipment frame (23), the upper section of the vertical beams
`(18)(18) is mutually coupled with the lateral frame (30), a handle post (33) is supported by mounts
`(32)(32) of handle brackets (31)(31) that are fixed to the lateral frame (30), and a handle shaft (35) of
`a steering handle (34) is rotatably borne by the handle post (33). The muffler (28) is attached to the
`lateral frame (22) via brackets (36)(36), the bottom section of the radiator (28) is borne by a mount
`board (37) that is fixed to the battery mount (19), and the upper sections of left and right sides are
`attached to the lateral frames (22)(22) by a bolt (38).
`The upper edge section of the front section vertical frames (21)(21) of the left and right is
`coupled with the upper section board (39), mount boards (40)(40) are attached to the left and right
`sections of the upper section board (39) by bolts (41)(41), and a lighting device attachment board (42)
`is fixed to mount boards (40)(40) so that headlight frames (43)(43) where the headlight (27) is

`section cover (51) attached to the vertical beam (18) and the side cover (48) is covered between the
`side cover (48) and the left and right frame (1).
`Further, attachment brackets (52)(52) are attached to the front side section of the left and right
`frames (1)(1) for attaching a working machine such as a front loader, a steering gear box is attached to
`a base board (53) coupling the left and right frames (1)(1), and the handle shaft (35) is coupled to the
`input shaft of the steering gear box via the bevel gear mechanism and an universal joint shaft. A
`speed reduction gear mechanism to reduce speed and rotation of the output shaft of the clutch is
`internally equipped in the rear section of the clutch housing (15), the output shaft (54) thereof and the
