`On July 27, 2016, a conference call was held between counsel for the
`parties and Judges Quinn and Boucher. The call was requested by Patent
`Owner during the deposition of Petitioner’s witness, Dr. Rubin. A court
`reporter was present on the call.
`Dr. Rubin was asked during his deposition whether he is currently
`engaged as an expert with Symantec Corp. or Blue Coat Systems, Inc.,
`against Patent Owner, and counsel for Petitioner instructed Dr. Rubin not to
`answer. Patent Owner contended that it was entitled to an answer to the
`question to explore Dr. Rubin’s financial interest and credibility, and to
`explore whether other parties might be real parties in interest to this
`proceeding. We concluded that Patent Owner provided an insufficient basis
`to require disclosure of confidential information from Dr. Rubin, and that the
`instruction not to answer was proper.

`In consideration of the foregoing, it is hereby:
`ORDERED that Petitioner’s objection and instruction not to answer
`are sustained.
