`A joint initial conference call for these cases took place on April 18,
`
`2016. The parties were represented by their respective counsel.
`Administrative Patent Judges Giannetti, Quinn, and Bunting participated.
`The following matters were discussed:
`1. Schedule
`
`Patent Owner’s counsel advised the Board of a possible conflict with
`the December 5, 2016, trial date in the district court proceeding with LG and
`requested that the final hearing date be delayed by a week. Petitioner’s
`counsel asked for an opportunity to respond. The request was denied as
`premature in view of the stay motion pending in that case. Depending on the
`outcome of the stay motion, the Board may revisit the matter at a later time.
`2. Motions
`
`Patent Owner does not intend to file a motion to amend. No other
`motions were authorized.
`3. Protective Order
`
`A protective order has been entered. The parties will contact the
`Board to request modification, if necessary.
`4. Compelled Testimony
`
`The parties do not foresee the need for compelled testimony. Should
`such testimony be desired the parties are required to request authorization
`well in advance.
`5. Settlement
`
`The parties had nothing to report.
