`Patent Office Trials - Covered Business Method Patents
`
`Since filing the first-ever petition for Covered Business Method Review (CBM) in
` November 2012, Finnegan attorneys have helped multiple clients navigate these
` unique PTAB procedures. Finnegan regularly fields teams of attorneys with the mix of
` experience needed to successfully contest CBM proceedings, including familiarity with
` the threshold requirements for instituting a CBM, expertise in the non-patentable
` subject matter challenges often brought in these proceedings, knowledge of the
` technology at issue, and experience briefing and arguing cases before the PTAB. In
` addition, Finnegan attorneys stand ready to assist their clients with parallel litigation
` beyond the Patent Office, including motions to stay, the automatic interlocutory appeal
` of stay decisions to the Federal Circuit, and the eventual appeal of the PTAB decision
` itself. This integrated, team approach has allowed Finnegan to provide effective,
` efficient representation of its clients in more than 25 of the 225 CBMs filed to date.
