`
`

`
`I, Craig F. Kirkwood, Pharm.D., hereby declare and state as follows:
`
`1.
`
`I submit this declaration on behalf of Jazz Pharmaceuticals, Inc.
`
`(“Jazz”), Patent Owner of U.S. Patent No. 7,668,730 (the “’730 patent”) in
`
`connection with this inter partes review, Case IPR2015-00554.
`
`2.
`
`3.
`
`I have been a registered pharmacist for 35 years.
`
`I received a Bachelor of Science degree in pharmacy from the
`
`University of Buffalo in 1980, and a Doctorate in Pharmacy from the University of
`
`Buffalo in 1983. I completed residency training in Hospital Pharmacy at Buffalo
`
`General Hospital in 1981, and in Drug Information Practice at North Carolina
`
`Memorial Hospital at the University of North Carolina in 1984.
`
`4.
`
`I am currently an Associate Professor in the Department of
`
`Pharmacotherapy and Outcomes Science at Virginia Commonwealth University
`
`School of Pharmacy. As part of my teaching duties, I instruct and coordinate a
`
`course entitled, “Evidence-based Pharmacy I: Introduction to Pharmacy
`
`Information Skills” (the “Drug Literature Course”). This drug literature course is a
`
`required course for all pharmacy students.
`
`5.
`
` In the drug literature course, I instruct and precept instruction on the
`
`commonly-used sources of information for pharmacists to access for obtaining,
`
`distributing, managing, and providing education about pharmaceuticals. These are
`
`the sources that will be relevant and useful to the students’ pharmacy practice once
`
`
`

`
`

`
`
`
`
`they have graduated and are practicing, registered pharmacists. I, and the
`
`
`
`
`
`
`instructors that I precept, do not teach about the Federal Register. I do not consider
`
`it one of the commonly-used sources of information.
`
`
`
`Executed this 6th day of November 2015. I declare under penalty of perjury
`
`that the foregoing is true and correct.
