`[Claim 1] A metal fitting for preventing rocking, which is equipped with (a) a pair of
`opposing walls connected at the rear end that are opposed by being equipped with a base
`frame reception hole, which receives and through which passes the base frame by
`hooking to and engaging with the above-mentioned base frame, and a mouth-clamping
`clamping wall part that is positioned at the front of said base frame reception hole and
`clamps the above—mentioned pipe, so that the pipe is fixed to the base frame ‘at the place
`where these intersect, (b) a pair of fastening walls that are respectively provided as
`protrusions opposed to the mouth-clamping front ends of these opposed walls, and (c) a
`fastening member that fastens said pair of fixing walls and clamps and presses the above-
`mentioned pair of opposed walls, and wherein at least one out of the pair of opposed
`walls is separated in the middle part of a front and back width direction of the opposed
`wall on the above-mentioned base frame reception hole, and in addition is connected with
`a hinge such that a front part‘ is freely opened and closed.
`[Claim 2] The metal fitting for preventing rocking described in Claim 1, wherein the
`above-mentioned fastening member is used as a fastening member for fingertip operation
`that fastens from the through hole of one of the above-mentioned pair of fastening walls
`to the screw hole of the other fastening wall, and in addition said fastening member is
`held such that it can rotate freely on one fastening wall that has the above-mentioned
`through hole by a bolt retaining means that is provided as a supplement.
`[Detailed Description of the Invention]
`[0001]
`[Field of Industrial Application] The present invention relates to a metal fitting for
`preventing rocking that is used optimally for fixing piping to a base frame in a building,
`for example as in the case of fixing a tire extinguishing water supply pipe in a horizontal
`frame that is laid and fixed in a ceiling base material.
`[0002]
`[Prior Art] This kind of metal fitting for preventing rocking is equipped with (a) a pair of
`opposed walls connected at the rear end that are opposed by being equipped with a base
`frame reception hole, which receives and through which passes the base frame by
`hooking to and engaging with the above-mentioned base frame, and a mouth-clamping
`clamping wall part that is positioned at the front of said base frame reception hole and
`clamps the above-mentioned pipe, so that the pipe is fixed to the base frame at the place
`where these intersect, (b) a pair of fastening walls that are respectively provided as
`protrusions opposed to the mouth-clamping front ends of these opposed walls, and (c) a
`fastening member that fastens said pair of fastening walls and clamps and presses the
`above-mentioned pair of opposed walls.
`[0003]
`[Problems the Invention Attempts to Solve] In this case, it is possible to carry out
`prevention of rocking of a preferred piping wherein the piping is fixed firmly to a base
`frame, but this kind of metal fitting for preventing rocking is constituted as a metal fitting
`with relatively high dimensional accuracy that is made integrally rigid by applying press
`processing, bending processing, etc. for notching and bending thick flesh steel plates, so
`even if it is possible to carry out the clamping and pressing of the pair of opposed walls
`by the fixing of a fixing wall with the resilience of a steel plate, the shape retention ofthe

`
`its shape itself is high, and the shape is fixed, so the fixing of piping in a base frame that
`employs has this fixed shape as a precondition, and attendant on this first of all for
`example the piping at the front end of the fire extinguishing water supply pipe in an up-
`down direction is inserted between the mouth-clamp clamping and holding wall part, and
`next the base frame is received by and passes through the base frame receiving hole such
`that it is crowned on a horizontal base frame that is laid horizontally on the ceiling base
`material, in this piping inserted state, and moreover fastening is carried out. These are the
`steps of the operation.
`{D004} However, at this time the piping is fixed by striking against and coupling with the
`base frame, so there is a positional relationship wherein the piping partially blocks the
`base frame reception hole, and therefore the reception and passing through of the base
`frame can only be carried out in a state where the piping is pushed to the side manually so
`that this is expanded on the mouth—clamping front end between the clamping wall part,
`and given the fact that it is made integrally rigid and the shape retention of the shape
`itself is high, carrying this out requires major manual force, and this is not necessarily an
`easy matter, and when this is an up-pointing operation or operation in a high place, it is
`accompanied by further difficulty, and ultimately the ease of operation is markedly poor
`for such a metal fitting for preventing rocking, and it compels a burdensome operation.
`[0005]
`[Means for Solving the Problems] The present invention was created in light of such
`circumstances, and takes as the problem to be solved the provision of a metal fitting for
`preventing rocking whose ease of operation is greatly improving, by configuring it such
`that thepiping can be fixed to the base frame simply by a single operation without
`requiring the application of manual force, and in addition this fixing can be carried out
`solidly.
`[0006]
`[Means for Solving the Problems] In accordance with the above-mentioned problems, the
`present invention is configured as follows: In order to ensure a solid fixing of the above-
`mentioned piping, the basic constitution as a metal fitting for preventing rocking is
`maintained, but the front part of at least one of a pair of opposed walls is set so that it
`opens and closes freely during operation, and the clamping wall part of the mouth-
`-clamping front end and the fastening wall can be opened in the middle part of the front
`and back width direction of the opposed walls, and owing to this it is made into
`something whose shape can be altered by the forward expansion of the opposed walls,
`and by this means the base frame and the piping are set such that they are simultaneously
`received in the perpendicularly crossed position thereof, or the latter is set in the base
`frame beforehand, alter which this is attached to the base frame with piping by means of
`for example a flexible pipe and fastening is enabled by insertion thereafter, after which
`these are respectively closed and fastening by a fastening member can be carried out. In
`other words, the invention in Claim 1 is a metal fitting for preventing the rocking of
`piping, characterized in that it is equipped with (a) a pair of opposing walls connected at
`the rear end that are opposed by being equipped with a base frame reception hole, which
`receives and through which passes the base frame by hooking to and engaging with the
`above-mentioned base frame, and a mouth-clamping clamping wall part that is positioned
`at the front of said base frame reception hole and clamps the above-mentioned pipe, so
`that the piping is fixed to the base frame at the place where these intersect, (b) a pair of

`fastening walls that are respectively provided as protrusions opposed to the mouth—
`clamping front ends of these opposed walls, and (c) a fastening member that fastens said
`pair of fixing wails and clamps and presses the above—mentioned pair of opposed walls,
`and wherein at least one out of the pair of opposed walls is separated in the middle part of
`a front and back width direction of the opposed wall on the above-mentioned base fiame
`reception hole and in addition is connected with a hinge such that a front part is freely
`opened and closed. The invention for Claim 2 is the metal fitting for preventing rocking
`described in Claim 1, wherein the above-mentioned fastening member is used as a
`fastening member for fingertip operation that fastens from the through hole of one of the
`above—mentioned pair of fastening walls to the screw hole of the other fastening wall,
`and in addition said fastening member is held such that it can rotate freely on one

`invention more
`[Mode of Embodiment of the Invention] To describe the present
`specifically in accordance with the following figures, A is a metal fitting for piping that
`prevents rocking, and said metal fitting for piping for preventing rocking A is equipped
`with (a) a pair of opposing walls connected at the rear end that are opposed by being
`equipped with a base frame reception hole, which receives and through which passes the
`base frame by booking to and engaging with the above-mentioned base frame, and a
`mouth-clamping clamping wall part that is positioned at the front of said base frame
`reception hole and clamps the above-mentioned pipe, so that the piping is fixed to the
`base frame at the place where these intersect, (b) a pair of fastening walls that are
`respectively provided as protrusions opposed to ‘the mouth-clamping front ends of these
`opposed walls, and (c) a fastening member that fastens said pair of fixing walls and
`clamps and presses the above—mentioned pair of opposed walls, and wherein at least one
`out of the pair of opposed walls is separated in the middle part of a front and back width
`direction of the opposed wall on the above-mentioned base frame reception hole, and in
`addition is connected with a hinge such that a front part is freely opened and closed.
`[0008] In other words, the metal fitting for piping for preventing rocking A is a metal
`fitting with relatively high dimensional accuracy that is superior in rigidity owing to the
`fact that notching or press processing for the purpose of bending, bending processing,
`etc., are applied to a thick flesh steel plate, and has a basic constitution as this kind of
`metal fitting for piping for preventing rocking, while in order to ensure ease of operation
`the front part 8 of at least one of the pair of opposed walls 2 is set such that it opens and
`closes freely during operation, and the clamping wall part 12 of the mouth~clamping front
`end and the fastening wall 14 can be opened in the middle part of the front and back
`width direction ofthe opposed walls 2, and owing to this it is made into something whose
`shape can be altered by the forward expansion of the opposed walls.
`[0009] In this example, the above~mentioned pair of opposed walls 2 are connected at the
`rear end by the connecting wall I that forms a base wall, and these are made for example
`into something separated at intervals of more than 22 mm, whereas its base frame
`reception hole 4 is formed downwards at the same position of each opposed wall 2
`having a downward opening 6 and the intruding part 7 of a bearing protrusion 5 by
`leaving the bearing protrusion 5 on the lower end and notching the opposed walls 2, and
`in addition the opposed walls 2 are oriented in opposed directions on this base frame
`reception hole 4, that is, the on the front of the above-mentioned downward opening 6,
`and a curved clamping wall part 12 wherein the front end is the mouth clamp is formed
`by curving in accordance with the diameter of the piping 23.
`[0010] A pair of fastening walls 14 is configured such that the front end side of these
`clamping wall parts 12 is provided integrally as opposed protrusions on these, and the
`fastening member 17 is fastened, such that it is bent in a direction perpendicular to the
`above-mentioned connecting walls 1.
`‘
`[0011] At this time, in the present example one of the pair of opposed walls 2 is separated
`front and back at the upper position of the downward opening 6 in this example, on the
`above-mentioned base frame reception hole 4, and are connected with a hinge 9 by

`
`respectively bending and forming these integrally on the non-opposed side ofthe opposed
`walls 2, and passing them through the support shaft 11 and fixing them to the shaft
`bearing 10 that is disposed up and down. Moreover, it is set such that they can open and
`close freely by 180 degrees or more at the front part of said opposed walls 2 based on the
`clamping wall part 12 and the fastening walls 14, which are separated based on the
`above, and this ensures the alterability of the shape by expanding the front of the above-
`mentioned opposed walls 2.
`[0012] At ‘this time the above-mentioned fastening member 17 is used as a fastening
`member for fingertip operation, which fastens this from the through hole 15 of one of the
`above-mentioned pair of fastening walls 14 to the screw hole 16 of the other fastening
`wall 14, and in addition said fastening member is held such that it rotates freely on one of
`the fastening walls 14 that has the above-mentioned through holes 15 owing to the bolt
`retaining means 18.
`'
`[0013] In this example, the above~mentioned through hole 15 is provided on the fastening
`wall 14 of the front end of the opposing walls 2 on the non-hinge connection side as the
`through hole ‘of the long hole in the sideways width direction, and the screw hole 16 is
`provided on the fastening wall 14 on the above-mentioned opening and closing side of
`the hinge 9 connection side, respectively, and the fastening member for fingertip
`operation is configured is based on a screw belt that integrally has a rotating claw on the
`front end so thatthe fingertip operation is thoroughly simplified.
`[0014] The bolt retaining means 18 prevents falling off by retaining by holding such that
`it can rotate freely the above-mentioned fastening member 14, by holding elastically or in
`a hooked fashion the bolt shaft of the fastening member by means of the above-
`mentioned butterfly [si(:; no mention of this above, typo for “screw”] bolt, which is
`inserted in the through hole of the above-mentioned fastening member 14, and in the
`‘present example, the boltshaft that is inserted is received and inserted in the above-
`mentioned through hole 15, which is disposed inside the fastening walls 14, that is, on the
`opposed surface sides. It is configured as a ring-shaped cushioning piece member made
`of foam resin with the elasticity of for example foam polyethylene, which is provided
`such that is passes through the shaft insertion hole 19 whose diameter is smaller than said
`bolt shaft.
`[0015] To fix piping 23 for a fire extinguishing water supply pipe of flexible pipes to a
`base frame, made for example of a horizontally laid material that is laid and fixed in the
`ceiling base material 20, with the metal fitting for piping that prevents rocking in the
`present example as constituted above, a fastening member 17 is held by the above-
`mentioned retaining means 18 on one of the fastening walls 14, the front part 8 of one of
`the opposed walls 2 is configured in an open and expanded state at an angle where said
`front part 8 does not contact the base frame 21, that is an angle of for example 180
`degrees and under in the event that hinge 9 connection is done at the center of the base
`frame reception hole 4, and an angle of 90 degrees and under in the event that this is
`carried out by displacement to the forward position of the base frame insertion hole 4,
`and the base frame 21 is received by and inserted through the base frame reception hole 4
`thereof by hooking and engaging said metal fitting for piping for preventing rocking A on
`the base frame 21 such that the base frame 21 is intruded into and housed in the intrusion
`part 7, and it is thereby set in the base frame 21, after which the operation may be carried
`out such that the piping is drawn near to the above-mentioned base frame 21 and this is

`above-mentioned fingertip operation, and the above-mentioned pair of opposed walls 2 is
`clamped and pressed, and owing to this no major force such as additional manual
`processing is required at all, and it is possible to carry out solidly and reliably [the
`connection] of piping 23 to the base frame 32 at the intersecting position thereof simply
`by a single operation.
`[0016] In addition, to fix similarly piping 23 made or example of non—flexib1e steel pipes

`is made into an open and expanded state, and the metal fitting for piping that prevents
`rocking A is inserted in the above—mentioned intersecting portion in an oblique direction,
`and after it is hooked and engaged on the base frame 21 as described above the piping 23
`is received simultaneously in a striking state on one of the clamping wall parts 12,
`clamping and pressing of the pair of opposed walls 2 by fastening by a fastening member
`17 may be similarly carried out, and in this case as well no major force is required, and
`the solid and reliable fixing of the piping 23 to a base frame 21 can be done easily by a
`single operation.
`[0017] In the figures, 3 is the reinforcing rib provided such that it reaches the connecting
`wall 1 and the pair of opposed walls 2 from the former, 13 is a brace based on mesh
`processing on the inner surface of the clamping wall part 12, 21 is a metal fitting for
`fixing of the ceiling base material 20, 24 is a sprinkler head installed at the tip of the
`piping serving as fire extinguishing water supply pipe.
`[0018] T-he example illustrated is as described above, but when the present invention is
`embodied, the following are for example possible for the piping to be something other
`than fire extinguishing water supply pipe inside buildings, for the base frame of the
`piping fixing target to be disposed in a vertical direction, and for the metal fitting for
`piping that prevents rocking to be employed in a state where said pipe intersects
`horizontally with it; for the freely opening and closing front part that forms the expanded
`part of the opposed walls to be provided similarly on both sides of a pair of opposed
`walls; the fastening member is something based on a bolt or hexagonal nut; when the bolt
`retaining means is employed, it is something made of a similar rubber in the place of the
`foam resin, or it is for example of a metal washer member or flat plate ring member,
`which holds in a hooked fashion the bolt shafi by engaging and latching to the screw
`groove with a diameter slightly greater than the bolt shaft; retaining of the fastening bolt
`may be carried out by fixing the bolt retaining means by adhering, etc. it on the outside of
`one of the fastening walls; and washer action on the fastening member fastening may be
`imparted to the bolt retaining means. Including these, it is possible to configure in various
`ways the specific shape, structure, materials, dimensions, purposes, and the forms and
`modes of additions to these as long as these do not run counter to the gist of the above-
`mentioned invention.
`
`[0019]
`[Effects of the Invention] Since the present invention is constituted as described above,
`the invention in Claim 1 is a metal fitting for piping for preventing rocking, which is
`configured such that in order to ensure a solid fixing of the
