`
`PIPE SUPPORT DEVICE
`
`(5?)
`
`[Abstract]
`
`[Object]
`
`To allow a pipe to be supported to a bar material, using one type of pipe support
`
`metal fitting regardless of a pipe diameter.
`
`
`
`[Structure]

`
`substantially U shape and which engage a bar material 12, at ends of two side plates 21, 21; a
`
`tightening screw 24 that is engaged to a plate portion 23 that connects the two side plates 21, 21;
`
`and a pressure metal fitting 25, arranged at an end of the tightening screw 24, that moves in a
`
`tightening direction simultaneously with tightening of the tightening screw 24; wherein in the
`
`pressure metal fitting 25, an arc—shaped concave portion 25a is formed whose diameter is larger
`
`than the largest-diameter pipe 20 that is to be positioned and supported between the two side
`
`plates 21, 21; wherein, between the two side plates 21, 21 of the pipe support metal fitting 18,
`
`the pipe 20 is positioned between the pressure metal fitting 25 and the bar material 12, and the
`
`claws 22, 22 are engaged to the bar material 12; and by tightening the tightening screw 24, a
`
`tightening force acts between (i) a center portion of the concave portion 253 of the pressure
`
`metal fitting 25 and (ii) the claws 22, 22, such that the pipe 20 is fixed to the bar material 12.
`
`
`
`[Scope of the Claim]
`
`[Claim 1]
`
`A pipe support device, comprising:
`
`a pipe support metal fitting, comprising:
`
`claws, which are bent in a substantially U shape and which engage a bar material,
`
`at ends of two side plates;
`
`a tightening screw that is engaged to a plate portion that connects the two side
`
`plates; and
`
`a pressure metal fitting, arranged at an end of the tightening screw, that moves in
`
`a tightening direction simultaneously with tightening of the tightening screw;
`
`wherein in the pressure metal fitting, an arc-shaped concave portion is formed
`
`whose diameter is larger than the largest-diameter pipe that is to be positioned and supported
`
`between the two side plates;
`
`wherein, between the two side plates of the pipe support metal fitting, the pipe is
`
`positioned between the pressure metal fitting and the bar material, and the claws are engaged to
`
`the bar material; and
`
`by tightening the tightening screw in this state, a tightening force acts between (i) a
`
`center portion of the concave portion of the pressure metal fitting and (ii) the claws at the ends,
`
`such that the pipe is fixed to the bar material.
`
`
`
`[Detailed Description of the Invention]
`
`[0001]
`
`[Industrial Use of the Invention]
`
`This invention relates to a pipe support device that supports to a bar material a pipe that
`
`has attached to its end a sprinkler nozzle arranged, for example, at a ceiling of a building.
`
`[0002]
`
`[Conventional Technology]
`
`Conventionally, when a pipe, which has attached to its end a sprinkler nozzle arranged at
`
`a ceiling of a building, is supported to a bar material, for example, as shown in Fig. 7, a pipe
`
`support metal fitting 5 is used in which arc-shaped notches 2, 2 that are bent in a substantially U
`
`shape are formed on two side plates 1, 1, and a tightening screw 4 is engaged to a plate portion 3
`
`that connects the two side plates 1, l.
`
`[0003]
`
`Figs. 8 and 9 show a state in which a pipe that has a sprinkler nozzle attached to its end is
`
`supported to a bar material, using this pipe support metal fitting 5. The mounting procedure will
`
`be explained. An angular tube shaped bar material 6 is sandwiched by the two side plates 1, 1 of
`
`the pipe support metal fitting 5, and the pipe support metal fitting 5 is placed against the bar
`
`material 6 such that an end of the tightening screw 4 contacts the bar material 6. A pipe 8 that
`
`has a sprinkler nozzle 7 attached to its lower end is positioned at the arc-shaped notches 2, 2, and
`
`the pipe 8 is pinched between the bar material 6 and ends of the notches 2, 2 by tightening the
`
`tightening screw 4.
`
`
`
`[0004]
`
`[Problems to be Resolved by the Invention]
`
`However, in such a structure, if a pipe support metal fitting is not prepared that is
`
`provided with arc-shaped notches 2, 2 formed with an inner diameter matching an outer diameter
`
`of the pipe 8, there is a problem such that a tightening force of the tightening screw 4 does not
`
`effectively act on the pipe 8. Thus, there was a need for preparing a pipe support metal fitting
`
`that matches the outer diameter of the pipe 8.
`
`[0005]
`
`This invention resolves such a problem. An object of this invention is to support a pipe
`
`to a bar material, using one type of pipe support metal fitting regardless of a pipe diameter.
`
`[0006]
`
`[Means of Solving the Problem]
`
`In order to solve this problem, in this invention, a pipe support metal fitting is constituted
`
`by claws, which are bent in a substantially U shape and which engage a bar material, at ends of
`
`two side plates; a tightening screw that is engaged to a plate portion that connects the two side
`
`plates; and a pressure metal fitting, arranged at an end of the tightening screw, that moves in a
`
`tightening direction simultaneously with tightening of the tightening screw; wherein in the
`
`pressure metal fitting, an arc-shaped concave portion is formed whose diameter is larger than the
`
`largest-diameter pipe that is to be positioned and supported between the two side plates; wherein,
`
`between the two side plates of the pipe support metal fitting, the pipe is positioned between the
`
`pressure metal fitting and the bar material, and the claws are engaged to the bar material; and by
`
`tightening the tightening screw in this state, a tightening force acts between (i) a center portion
`
`
`
`of the concave portion of the pressure metal fitting and (ii) the claws at the ends, such that the
`
`pipe is fixed to the bar material.
`
`[0007]
`
`[Operation]
`
`According to the above-mentioned structure, once the tightening screw is tightened,
`
`regardless of the pipe diameter, the tightening force acts between the center portion of the
`
`concave portion of the pressure metal fitting and the claws at the ends, the pipe can be fixed to
`
`the bar material, and the pipe can be reliably supported to the bar material, using one type of pipe
`
`support metal fitting.
`
`[0008]
`
`[Embodiments]
`
`Hereafter, embodiments of this invention will be explained, based on drawings. First, a
`
`first embodiment shown in Figs. 1-4 is explained.
`
`1 1, 11 are cross-sectional C type bar materials
`
`that support ceiling plates of a building. A cross-sectional C type bar material 12 perpendicular
`
`to the bar materials 1 1,
`
`1 1 is mounted to the bar materials 1 l, 11, which are parallel to each
`
`other, using support metal fittings 13, 13. The support metal fittings 13, 13 are formed in a gate
`
`shape, open at its front, and are provided with claws 16, 16, which receive the bar materials 11,
`
`l 1, at lower ends of plate portions 15, IS on both sides that are Suspended from plate portions
`
`14, 14 at upper ends, and tightening screws 17 that press down against the bar material 12 placed
`
`on the bar materials 1 1, 11 are arranged in the plate portions 14, 14 at the upper ends. Long
`
`sides 11a of the bar materials 11, 11 are oriented in a vertical direction, and a long side 12a of
`
`the bar material 12 mounted on the bar materials 1 1,
`
`1 l is oriented in a horizontal direction.
`
`
`
`[0009]
`
`18 is a pipe support metal fitting that supports to the bar material 12 a pipe 20 that has a
`
`sprinkler nozzle 19 attached to its lower end. This pipe support metal fitting 18 is bent in a
`
`substantially U shape. Claws 22, 22 that engage the bar material 12 are provided at ends of two
`
`side plates 21, 21. A tightening screw 24 is engaged to a plate portion 23 that connects the two
`
`side plates 21, 21. A pressure metal fitting 25 that moves in a tightening direction
`
`simultaneously with tightening of the tightening screw 24 is arranged at an end of the tightening
`
`screw 24. 26, 26 are guide grooves that are formed in the two side plates 21, 21 so as to guide
`
`movement of the pressure metal fitting 25. Both ends of the pressure metal fitting 25 are
`
`engaged with the guide grooves 26, 26. Furthermore, in the pressure metal fitting 25, an arc-
`
`shaped concave portion 25a is formed whose diameter is larger than the largest-diameter pipe 20
`
`that is to be positioned and supported between the two side plates 21, 21.
`
`[0010]
`
`According to the above structure, a procedure will be explained in which the pipe 20 that
`
`has the sprinkler nozzle 19 attached to its lower end is supported to the bar material 12. First,
`
`the bar material 12 is mounted to the bar materials 11, 11, which are parallel to each other, using
`
`support metal fittings 13, 13. Between the two side plates 21, 21 of the pipe support metal fitting
`
`18, the pipe 20 is positioned between the pressure metal fitting 25 and the bar material 12 such
`
`that the claws 22, 22 at the ends of the pipe support metal fitting 18 are engaged to the bar
`
`material 12. In this state, when the tightening screw 24 is tightened, the tightening force acts
`
`between a center portion of the concave portion 25a of the pressure metal fitting 25 and the
`
`claws 22, 22 at the ends, and the pipe 20 is fixed to the bar material 12.
`
`
`
`[0011]
`
`Next, a second embodiment shown in Figs. 5 and 6 is explained. This embodiment
`
`shows a case in which a long side 12a of the bar material 12 mounted on the bar materials 11, 11
`
`is oriented in a vertical direction, and the pipe 20 is supported to the bar material 12 Via the pipe
`
`support metal fitting 18.
`
`[0012]
`
`In the first embodiment, the claws 22, 22 at the ends of the pipe support metal fitting 18
`
`are engaged over the long side 12a to a short side 12b of the bar material 12.
`
`In the second
`
`embodiment, the claws 22, 22 at the ends of the pipe support metal fitting 18 are engaged to a
`
`plate portion of the short side 12b of the bar material 12. Other structures are the same as in the
`
`first embodiment. Furthermore, even if the bar material 12 has an angular tube shape, it can be
`
`implemented in the same manner.
`
`[0013]
`
`[Effects of the Invention]
`
`Thus, according to this invention, when the tightening screw is tightened, regardless of
`
`the pipe diameter, the tightening force acts between the center portion of the concave portion of
`
`the pressure metal fitting and the claws at the ends, the pipe can be fixed to the bar material, and
`
`the pipe can be reliably supported to the bar material, using one type of pipe support metal
`
`fitting.
