`I. DISCUSSION
`
`Petitioner, Apple Inc. (“Petitioner”), filed an Unopposed Motion for
`
`Counsel to Withdraw and Permit Substitution of Counsel under 37 C.F.R. §
`
`42.10(e). Paper 7 (“Mot.”). In its Motion, Petitioner requests us to
`
`authorize withdrawal of its current lead and local counsel—Blaney Harper,
`
`Douglas Pearson, David Cochran, and Joseph Sauer (collectively “Current
`
`Counsel”)—and substitute in Brian Buroker (lead counsel) and Blair Silver
`
`(back-up counsel). Mot. 1.
`
`Current Counsel states that Petitioner has obtained new lead and back-
`
`up counsel, specifically, Brian Buroker (Reg. No. 39,125) and Blair Silver
`
`(Reg. No. 68,003) (collectively “New Counsel”). Id. Current Counsel
`
`represents that New Counsel meet all the requirements of 37 C.F.R. §
`
`42.10(c) as registered practitioners. Id. Current Counsel represents, and we
`
`have confirmed, that New Counsel has filed a new Power of Attorney (Paper
`
`9) and Updated Mandatory Notices (Paper 10). Id. at 2.
`
`Current Counsel states that the schedule for this case will not be
`
`affected. Id. We note that a Preliminary Response is not due until April 13,
`
`2015, and the change of Petitioner’s counsel will not affect Patent Owner’s
`
`ability to prepare and file its Preliminary Response should it decide to do so.
`
`Under the circumstances presented, good cause exists for Current
`
`Counsel’s withdrawal.
`
`II. ORDER
`
`In consideration of the foregoing, it is ORDERED that the Unopposed
`
`Motion for Counsel to Withdraw and Permit Substitution of Counsel is
`
`granted.
`
