`On March 5, 2015, a conference call was held. The participants were
`
`Blaney Harper and Douglas Pearson for Apple Inc. (“Petitioner”), Robert
`
`Curfiss, counsel for e-Watch, Inc. (“Patent Owner”), and Judge Anderson.
`
`Mr. Harper asked for a conference call seeking leave to withdraw, along
`
`with backup counsel for Petitioner Douglas Pearson, David Cochran, and
`
`Joseph Sauer. Mr. Harper represented that substitute counsel had been
`
`retained. Mr. Curfiss advised us that Patent Owner does not object to
`
`substitution of counsel.
`
`A conference call is not required. Petitioner is authorized to have
`
`substitute counsel file a power of attorney, designating lead and backup
`
`counsel under 37 C.F.R. § 42.10(a). Petitioner is advised to update
`
`mandatory notices regarding lead and back-up counsel under 37 C.F.R.
`
`§ 42.8(b)(3). Once substitute counsel has filed a power of attorney and
`
`updated the mandatory notices, all current counsel for Petitioner are
`
`authorized to file a motion to withdraw from this case under 37 C.F.R.
`
`§ 42.10(a).
`
`ORDER
`
`ORDERED that Petitioner’s current counsel is authorized to file a
`
`motion to withdraw upon substitute counsel’s filing a power of attorney and
`
`updating of Petitioner’s mandatory notices related to lead and back-up
`
`counsel.
`
