`personal computers, today began shipping Connectix Color QuickCam 2 for Windows -- an enhanced version of the highly
`popular Connectix QuickCam digital camera.

`Flexible, powerful, and easy to use, the Color QuickCam 2 provides an improved optical system for better images, enhanced
`image capture software and new software drivers for even more versatility. Color QuickCam 2 retails for less than $200 in
`North America.

`Color QuickCam 2 is the latest offering in the popular QuickCam product family, which has sold over 500,000 units since its
`1994 debut.

`Color QuickCam 2 is designed with improved optics and a new charged coupled device sensor which combine to produce
`images that are two times brighter than the original Color QuickCam and offer improved color response. Since QuickCams
`are primarily used indoors where lighting conditions are inconsistent, this allows for better results in low light environments.

`website at no cost to all QuickCam owners. This will allow business users to deploy the camera on Windows NT enabled
`systems. (A Windows NT driver for the Grayscale QuickCam already is available from the Connectix website, America
`Online and CompuServe.)

`Another feature of Color QuickCam 2 is a new TWAIN driver for easy image access within TWAIN-compliant applications
`such as Adobe Photoshop and Connectix PhotoMate.
`
`Connectix has enhanced QuickPict, a full-featured still image capture program which is included with Color QuickCam 2.
`The new Film Roll feature allows a user to store and view up to 36 still thumbnail images, and select the best picture to save
`to a file, clipboard or email. QuickPict's image save capability now includes America Online's (AOL) ART format for
`seamless emailing of still images to AOL users.
`
`QuickPict also includes self-timer mode with audio and visual countdown cues, Auto Capture for automatically updating
`website pictures, and timed exposure still image capture. In addition, Connectix includes QuickMovie software for video
`capture featuring time lapse and stop action animation capabilities.

`Trial versions of America Online software, Connectix VideoPhone 2.0, White Pine Software Inc.'s Enhanced CU-SeeMe and
`Connectix QuickCards are available on a CD-ROM that comes packaged with the camera.

`Optional Connectix software applications sold separately can increase the functionality of Color QuickCam 2 at affordable
`prices. Connectix VideoPhone 2.0 enables videoconferences over corporate networks, the Internet, or modem to modem.

`Connectix PhotoMate, with its ability to edit, enhance, organize and present images, offers popular features of high-end
`photo editing packages at a fraction of the cost. Connectix QuickCards allow users to create self-running, multimedia
`greeting cards. Connectix PhotoBadge creates personalized badges and ID cards on almost any printer.

`Pentium-class processor or higher; 12 MB RAM to run under Windows 3.1 or 16 MB RAM under Windows 95; CD-ROM
`drive for software; and Video for Windows (included with Color QuickCam 2 installer CD-ROM).
