`A conference call in these cases was held on March 13, 2015. The
`call was requested by Petitioners to seek authorization to file amended
`mandatory notices to add Daimler North America Corp. and Daimler AG as
`real parties-in-interest. Present on the call were counsel for the parties and
`Administrative Patent Judges Giannetti and Powell.
`Petitioners were advised that the filing dates accorded the petitions
`would be reset as a result of filing the amended notices. Petitioners stated
`that the 12-month limitations period set forth in 35 U.S.C. § 315(b) has not
`yet expired with respect to Petitioners, or to either of the parties being added.
`Patent Owner requested an extension of one month to file its
`preliminary responses. Patent Owner does not oppose.
`It is, therefore,
`ORDERED that Petitioners shall have ten days from the entry of this
`order to file amended mandatory notices under 37 C.F.R. § 42.8 adding
`Daimler North America Corp. and Daimler AG as real parties-in-interest;
`FURTHER ORDERED that upon filing the notices, the original filing
`dates accorded these petitions shall be withdrawn and new filing dates shall
`be accorded the petitions;
`FURTHER ORDERED that the new filing date accorded a petition
`shall be the date on which the amended notice is filed;
`FURTHER ORDERED that the due date for filing Patent Owner’s
`Preliminary Response under 37 C.F.R. § 42.107 is extended by a period of
`one month from the current due date in each of the proceedings.
