`The following is an examiner's statement of reasons for allowance: The primary reason for
`
`the allowance of claims 1-43 are deemed to be directed to an unobvious improvement over the
`
`invention patented in Beasley et al Pat.No.4,742,497 and Bloomquist et al Pat.No.4,241,429.
`
`Beasley et al discloses a plurality of substantially parallel and equally spaced source lines each of
`
`which are formed by a plurality of equally spaced seismic energy sources. Bloomquist et al
`
`teaches velocity determination and stacking process from seismic exploration of three dimensional
`
`reflection geometry. The improvement are comprised in chums 1-43. Claims 1-12 disclose
`
`gathering from the data a plurality of traces having a common reference point, whereby a common
`
`reference point bin is defined and whereby each of the plurality of traces has an offset associated
`
`therewith. Claims 13-43 disclose assigning a coordinate set to the surface, wherein the coordinate
`
`set is related to a survey geometry of the data. These limitations found in the claims but not
`
`found, taught or suggested in the prior art of record enables the claims allowable over the prior
`
`art.
