`
`OK -- so what lens do we need? If we have something in inventory
`that's the way to go -- I need to know which.
`
`
`Also -- what theater are we going to test this in? If it's the Clarity we
`want to fill the screen.

`We have no issue cutting the lens. So let us know. We’ll get back to you on the geometry.

`
`I believe we have an inventory of a few lenses - check with Drew. This is a proof of concept - we need to
`do wht it takes to make itr work. I recommenf that we just cut the lens. I suspect that Jerry could do a
`better job at this than we could.
`
`Based on geometries we should be using the 1.8 to 2.4 lens (from memory - I'm on the road...). I believe
`that this lens touches the eidesr angle in our current spec.
`
`If we need the lens nipped off in production I'm sure we can work something.
`
`Jerry - can you confirm the lens ratio?
`
`Matt.

`For the demonstration system we need it cut down - or select and other
`lens. We can do this but it may be better for Real D to perform this
`operation.

`
`Jerry,
`
`
`
`We don't know enough about other Konica-Minolta lenses in the series.
`Some of them do not have the front element recessed very much and some
`do.
`
`
`
`
`
`We need that infomration.
`
`Are you saying that Real D should supply you with the lens mount cut?
`Or are you asking if it should be cut at all?
`
`
`
`It has to be cut for the demonstrator but I am wondering about the
`product and what the configuration will be for that -- for various
`lenses. Which lenses are most likely to be used? Will we offer a
`lens/BPS combo. Seems like we have to to make this thing work -- that
`means that the design may be restricted to some focal lengths.

`
`I'll have to find out about this.

`
`We really need to have Real D "cut" off the subject lens shroud. The
`lens is recessed 1.5". If we do not it will make the system too large
`and the polarizer we are using is too small or will vignette the full
`field. Please clarify. At this time we are assuming that is will be
`cut for this demonstrator.
