`Ying-Moh,
`
`
`Will we be using the Moxtek at 45°? Although I am not certain, I am concerned about the amount of p-polarization to pass
`at 45°. I will, however, include this test.

`
`I am glad to know that you confirmed on the CP+P case. Again, I think it depends on which side the light sees
`first for the CP. The PBS is the Moxtek in this case. Look forward to seeing your test plan.

`Hi Ying-Moh,

`
`By the way, my thoughts on circularly polarized light passing through a linear polarizer unaffected were
`incorrect. As you thought, the light does become linearly polarized after passing through the linear polarizer. I
`will have to brush up on my polarization skills. : )
`
`
`We actually did buy two NIST Linear Polarizers which I plan to use for all testing. I will also include be happy to
`include tests on the Nitto Denko linear polarizing film as well as the Moxtek. I will give you some preliminary
`information from previous experience; the Moxtek polarizers are excellent polarizers within the visible range. I
`am finishing up the test plan today, so you will have it tomorrow.
`
`Is the PBS not available?

`
`I think it is a good idea to test the Nitto polarizer and it may be a self test unless you have some known
`high quality polarizers. I have not developed a clear concept of what the test setup would be for this,
`maybe you could come up with one and share it with me.
`
`
`We would be interested in testing the Moxtek wire-grid polarizer and I have some idea of what I want
`to measure. I did not talk about it last time partly because we ran out of time, and partly it is not so
`critical. I will draw up a diagram to explain what I have in mind and you can detail it. Does this sound
`OK?
`
`
`Thank you for dharing your thoughts with me.

`Hi Ying-Moh,
`
`I was wondering if you are also interested in characterizing, perhaps, the Nitto Denko linear polarizing
`film? Reviewing my notes I see that you will be employing the PBS. Is this a product that is available
`that we may test it?
`
`
`Thanks,
