`Pursuant to Civil Local Rule 40.1(e), Plaintiff has reason to believe that the
`above-captioned action is related to the following action on file in this Court:
`(cid:120) Advanced Auctions LLC v. eBay, Inc., Case No. 3:13cv00360 BEN
`(WMC), filed on February 13, 2013 (asserting United States Patent
`No. 8,266,000)
`Both actions are related because they concern identical or substantially
`similar transactions or events and call for the determination of identical or
`substantially similar questions of law and fact. Accordingly, assignment to a single
`district judge is likely to effect a saving of judicial effort and other economies. See
`Civil Local Rule 40.1(e).

`To be specific, in the above-titled action, Advanced Auctions is asserting the
`same patent asserted against eBay in the present action. While Advanced Auctions
`will explain this in further detail if necessary at the upcoming Early Neutral
`Evaluation on August 7 in Case No. 3:13cv00360, a standing question was raised in
`another, unrelated suit concerning another, unrelated patent by this inventor by a
`defendant claiming an assignment had not been executed correctly. Advanced
`Auctions does not believe there is any standing question in Case No. 3:13cv00360,
`but to avoid any concerns, confusion, or delay in Case No. 3:13cv00360 or here,
`Advanced Auctions has re-undertaken its purchase of the patent-in-suit and re-filed
`this matter.
