`before the auction starts; however, some will not. If absentee bidding
`is available for a particular auction, you will find a "Place an Absentee

`Should I bid live or by absentee bid?
`
`Many of our customers enjoy the thrill of hearing the auctioneer,
`clicking the bid button, and competing against the audience on the
`auction floor. LiveBid Auctions is happy to provide this service.

`For bidders with less auction experience or those with dated
`computers, slower connection speeds, or frequent Internet
`congestion, allowing LiveBid Auctions to manage your absentee bid
`is the surest way to have your bid recognized by the auctioneer.

`How do I place an absentee bid?
`
`You must register for each event in which you wish to bid. Once you
`have registered, you will find a "Place an Absentee Bid" box
`accompanying the item previews for any auction where absentee
`bidding is available. From this box, simply enter the maximum
`amount that you are willing to pay for the item. Once the auction
`house approves your registration, LiveBid Auctions will manage the
`bidding for you.

`When you place an absentee bid, you will receive an email message
`confirming the receipt of your absentee bid. LiveBid Auctions will hold
`onto your absentee bid, but cannot submit it until the auction house
`approves your registration request.

`Yes - Many bidders maximize their chances of winning by placing
`absentee bids and then monitoring the action during the live event. If
`their maximum bid is exceeded by the audience, bidders simply click
`their bid button and continue to compete for the item.

`The minimum bid for an item is set by the auction house and is often
`a good estimate of the opening price when the live event begins. As
