`37 C.F.R. § 42.122

`Patent 7,147,759 B2
`
`Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company, Ltd. and TSMC
`North America Corporation (collectively, “TSMC”) filed a Petition in
`each of the above-identified inter partes reviews, challenging U.S.
`Patent 7,147,759 B2 (Ex. 1201, “the ’759 patent”) owned by Zond, LLC
`(“Zond”). Paper 2.2 Pursuant to 37 C.F.R. § 42.122(b), TSMC also filed
`Motions for Joinder, seeking to join its proceedings with proceedings filed
`by Intel Corporation (“Intel”)—specifically, joining IPR2014-00781 with
`IPR2014-00445, and IPR2014-00782 with IPR2014-00446. Paper 8.
`On September 12, 2014, however, Intel and Zond filed a Joint Motion
`to Terminate and a true copy of their Written Settlement Agreement, made
`in connection with the termination, in accordance with 35 U.S.C. § 317(b)
`and 37 C.F.R. § 42.74(b), in each of Intel’s Proceedings that involved the
`’759 patent. See, e.g., IPR2014-00445, Paper 14; IPR2014-00443, Ex. 1035.
`Upon consideration, we terminated those Intel Proceedings and entered
`Judgment in each of the Intel Proceedings. See, e.g., IPR2014-00445,
`Paper 15.
`The termination of the Intel Proceedings renders TSMC’s Motions for
`Joinder moot. Although we authorized, in our previous Order, TSMC to file
`a revised Motion for Joinder, TSMC did not file such a Motion within the
`time period set forth in the Order.
`In consideration of the foregoing, it is hereby
`ORDERED that the Motions for Joinder filed in the above-identified
`TSMC Proceedings are dismissed as moot.
