`
`Product Deseripfion
`
`ZapStation is a stand alone Multimedia Server that will sold as a consumer product.
`It is intended to be roughly the size of a Stereo Receiver and provide for both
`Audio and Video output. The Audio output will require an amplifier to drive
`speakers. Video will be direct to a TV. It will receive its multimedia assets via
`broadband demand download or traditional phone line download from a ZZi
`Webcasting Portal. The device should also be able to domrload from other sites
`through its embedded browser interface. ZapStation is targeted at a price point of
`$299 to $499 with a direct Internet sales model. We will provide a manufacturer’s
`rebate to help achieve our target price points. We may allow for distribution sales
`later in the product life cycle. We will negotiate with a third party for assembly and
`product fillffitment.
`
`ZapStation will operate with an vaeum flouresce'nt display interface. Altemately,
`user interaction will be Via a remote control device and a TV interface. The remote
`control device should be a standard programmable unit as well as a remote
`keyboard. In addition, we may provide for a browser interface from a remote
`connected computer. ZapStation is intended to compliment the existing stereo and
`AV components within the home environment. The video interface will support
`NTSC, PAL and SECAM. The first release will not support HDTV.
