`Pursuant to the Patent and Trademark Office’s Final Rule Setting and
`
`Adjusting Patent Fees, 78 F.R. 4211, 4233-4234 (Fed. Reg. Jan. 18, 2013)

`Petitioners Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd.; Samsung Electronics America, Inc.;
`
`Samsung Telecommunications America, LLC; And Samsung Austin
`
`Semiconductor, LLC (“Samsung”) requests a refund in the amount of $14,000 to
`
`be paid to deposit account number 04-1073.
`
`On March 20, 2014, Samsung filed a Petition for Inter Partes Review with
`
`the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, Patent Trial and Appeal Board that was
`
`assigned case number IPR2014-00515. In accordance with the fee schedule
`
`specified and 37 C.F.R. s 42.15(a), Samsung paid $23,000 at the time of filing its
`
`Petition. Samsung’s payment consisted of $9,000 for the inter partes review
`
`request fee and a further $14,000 in post-institution fees.
`
`On September 9, 2014, the Patent Trial and Appeal Board issued its
`
`Decision Denying Institution of Inter Partes Review (Paper No. 18). Accordingly,
`
`Samsung requests a refund of $14,000 for the post-institution fees that it has paid
`
`to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in connection with this proceeding to be
`
`paid to deposit account number 04-1073.
