`On December 6, 2013, Petitioner Apple Inc. (“Petitioner”) initiated this

`proceeding challenging U.S. Patent No. 8,504,697 by filing a petition and
`
`supporting exhibits. Petitioner also simultaneously served the petition and
`
`supporting exhibits on Patent Owner VirnetX, Inc. by sending those documents to
`
`Joseph Palys and Naveen Modi, who are representing Patent Owner in various
`
`inter partes proceedings involving five other patents in the same family as the ’697
`
`patent. E.g., IPR2013-00348. To ensure there can be no dispute over proper
`
`service of the petition, Petitioner is additionally serving copies of the petition,
`
`supporting exhibits, and this notice on Patent Owner at the following address,
`
`which is listed in PAIR:
