`I, James J. Kernell, respectfully move for admission pro hac vice of

`
`David L. Marcus as counsel for Patent Owner Troy R. Norred, M.D. in the above-
`
`captioned proceeding and state as follows in support of this motion:

`This inter partes proceeding arises from and relates to a patent
`
`infringement lawsuit filed in the United States District Court for the District of
`
`

`

`Kansas, captioned Troy R. Norred, M.D. v. Medtronic, Inc., et al., Case No.
`
`13-CV-2061 EFM/DJW. The Patent Owner is represented in that lawsuit by the
`
`undersigned counsel and by Applicant, David L. Marcus. Through that
`
`representation, Mr. Marcus has obtained detailed knowledge regarding the
`
`conception and development of the invention embodied in U. S. Patent No.
`
`6,482,228, as well as prior art in this area. Mr. Marcus’ knowledge would be of
`
`substantial benefit to myself and the Patent Owner in this inter partes proceeding.

`Applicant, David L. Marcus, submits the attached Declaration
`
`in Support of Motion for Pro Hac Vice Admission.
`

`WHEREFORE, I, James J. Kernell, respectfully request that David L.
`
`Marcus be admitted pro hac vice to appear on behalf of and act as counsel for
`
`Patent Owner, Troy R. Norred, M.D., in this case.
