`IPR2013-00219 (Patent 7,477,284)
`
`
`
`Patent Owner, Yissum Research Development Company of the Hebrew
`

`at the Board pursuant to 37 CFR 42.70.
`
`Patent Owner, Yissum Research Development Company of the Hebrew
`
`University of Jerusalem, hereby requests the opportunity to have an oral argument
`
`at the Board pursuant to 37 C.F.R. § 42.70 and the Scheduling Order (Paper 17).
`
`Oral Argument is presently scheduled for June 18, 2014. Id.
`
`Issues A and C are raised by the Petition, Patent Owner’s Response thereto,
`
`Petitioner’s Reply, and Patent Owner’s Motion for Observation and involve
`
`analysis of the claim of U.S. 7,477,284 (the “’284 Patent”) and vis-à-vis the
`
`disclosures of several cited references, and especially the distinction therebetween.
`
`Issues B and D are raised by Patent Owner’s Motion for Observation. To allow for
`
`a complete review of the issues presented in this proceeding, Patent Owner
`
`requests one hour of argument time. Patent Owner understands that the Oral
`
`Argument applies to both the present proceeding (IPR2013-00219) and to the
`
`related proceeding (IPR2013-00218).
`
`ISSUES TO BE ADDRESSED DURING ORAL ARGUMENT
`
`A. The claims are patentable under 35 U.S.C. §§ 102 and 103 over the
`
`Kawakita reference; the Kawakita reference does not disclose the
`
`
`
`2

`
`
`claimed “plurality of mosaics of the scene” that provide a perception

`
`B. The claims are patentable under 35 U.S.C. § 102 over the Asahi
`
`reference; the Asahi reference does not disclose the claimed “plurality
`

`
`person.
`
`In light of these remarks, Patent Owner respectfully requests the opportunity
`
`to have an oral argument at the Board. If the Board has any questions, comments,
`
`or suggestions, the undersigned attorney earnestly requests a telephone conference.
`
`No fees are believed to be required for filing this request; however, the
`
`Commissioner is authorized to charge any additional fees which may be required,
`
`or credit any overpayment, to the Deposit Account No. 08-1394.

`Respectfully submitted,
