`PETITIONER’S NOTICE OF SUPPLEMENTAL EVIDENCE
`
`Petitioner Xilinx hereby submits a supplemental declaration of Dr. A. Bruce
`
`Buckman in support of its Petition for Inter Partes Review of U.S. Patent No.
`
`5,632,545. [Ex. 1021] On September 13, 2013, Patent Owner Intellectual
`
`Ventures filed an objection to two of Dr. Buckman’s declaration (Ex. 1012 and
`
`1013), on the grounds that he is not a qualified expert (despite his nearly 45-year
`
`career as a professor of electrical engineering specializing in optics). Dr.
`
`Buckman’s supplemental declaration explains how his education, experience, and
`
`writings are relevant to the subject matter of the ’545 patent. Dr. Buckman also
`
`provides an excerpt from his textbook that is directly relevant to the objections
`
`raised by IV. [Ex. 1022]
`
`These submissions are authorized by 37 C.F.R. § 42.64(b)(2), which permits
`
`a party to submit supplemental evidence in response to an objection.
`
`A revised exhibit list is attached below.
