`Subject: IPR2012-00042 Patent Owner request for submission of substitute exhibit MG 2027 / request for conference
`call.
`
`
`
`Following‐up a teleconference with Maria Vignone, Patent Owner Mentor Graphics requests authorization
`from the Board to replace exhibit MG 2027, submitted on June 21, 2013, with the attached substitute exhibit
`having improved reproduction quality.  To the extent the Board finds necessary, Patent Owner requests a
`conference call with the Board to discuss the same.

`Exhibit MG 2027 is an expert declaration of Majid Sarrafzadeh submitted in support of Patent Owner’s
`Response filed on June 21, 2013.  The filed copy of MG 2027 contains minor electronic reproduction defects
`on pages 31 ‐ 33 and 43, which blur or erase portions of certain letters.  Though the affected text in the filed
`exhibit is understandable, the substitute exhibit correcting the defects is more easily readable and will benefit
`the Board and the parties in reviewing the document.  The substitute exhibit is identical to the previously filed
`exhibit in all substantive respects.

`Petitioner Synopsys’ counsel (copied) has been consulted, and they have consented to the filing of the
`substitute exhibit.

`Best regards,
`Michael Cuviello
