`
`
`
`JOINT MOTION TO EXTEND THE
`DEADLINE FOR THE HEARING
`
`
`
`
`
`
`
`
`

`

`
`
`Petitioner and Patent Owner jointly move for an extension of the deadline
`
`for the hearing in this matter. The hearing is currently scheduled to occur on
`
`November 5, 2014. The parties request a 30-day extension of this deadline such
`
`that the hearing will occur on December 5, 2014, commencing at 10 a.m.. The
`
`deadline for the Board to render its final decision in this matter is March 20, 2015.
`
`The proposed extension will still provide the Board almost three months to finalize
`
`the final order after the hearing.
`
`
`
`The parties request this extension because the parties are engaged in active
`
`settlement discussions. The settlement discussions by the parties have become
`
`more engaged lately, and an extension of the hearing will foster and promote these
`
`settlement discussions such that a potential amicable resolution may be reached. If
`
`such settlement is reached, the parties will file the necessary papers as soon as
`
`possible with the Board. The parties will not ask for any additional extensions of
`
`the hearing or of any other deadlines in this matter.
`
`
`
`The deadline to request a hearing is currently set for October 16, 2014. If
`
`Petitioners and/or Patent Owner file the necessary request for hearing, such filings
`
`should not be considered a revocation or contrary to this requested extension.
