`I am a sworn Police Officer, currently assigned as a Detective, working for the Columbia

`County Sheriffs Office.

`Based upon the following information, there is probable cause to believe Richard John
`
`Cheney dob: 08/04/72 has committed the crime(s) of:
`
`Theft in the First Degree~By Receiving (14 counts)
`12 Firearms
`
`2 Gas Powered Tile Cutting Saws -‘Value $1,800.00 each
`PCS - Methamphetamine (1 Count)
`
`Investigation:
`
`That on 1 I/4i12,Aat about 10pm, Richard John Cheney allowed Terry Albert Conner
`
`dob:06/03/69,. Joseph—Wayne Gates dob:08/07/76, Naomi Amanda Holinbeck dob:10/06/94, and
`
`John Charles Meece Jr dob:07/3 1/90 to bring the proceeds of two burglaries (Two gas powered
`
`Stihl Brand Tile Cutting Saws and one large maroon colored Browning gun safe containing
`
`twelve firearms and ammunition) committed on 11/04/12 at 1904 E State Route 4, Cathlamet,
`
`Wahkiakum County, Washington, to Cheney’s residence at 33676 Sykes Road, St Helens,
`
`Columbia. County, Oregon. That Cheney did allow said persons to use his shop to cut open the
`
`gun safe and remove the firearms and ammunition. That the two Stihl saws were recovered in
`

`Cheney’s shop, during a subseql.Search Warrant. That the Browning s.was recovered in
`

`the woods in the Chapman area. That four of the firearms were recovered by Portland Police
`
`Officers during the arrest of Terry Albert Conner in Portland on 11/05/12. That eight of the
`
`firearms are still unaccounted for. That during the Search Warrant mentioned, which was served
`
`on l1/08/ 12, methamphetamine was recovered inside Cheney’s residence. That Cheney admitted
`
`he assisted Terry Albert Conner by trying to call persons to gain information to aid Conner in
`
`breaking into the safe. That Cheney did allow the use of his shop and tools, by Conner, Meece,
`
`and Gates, to break into the safe. That Cheney admitted to knowing Conner was a felon, as they
`
`served time together, and that the safe was likely stolen.
