`
`
`
`Letter Request, Dated April 23, 2014
`
`
`_________________________________________________________________________________
`
`Dear Counsel,
`
`
`
`This correspondence is meant to address the letter request (ECF No. 253) submitted by
`
`Plaintiff’s counsel dated April 23, 2014, and to clarify the proper procedure for submitting requests
`
`to the Court.
`
`
`
`Please note that Local Civil Rule 7.1 provides the applicable guidelines for application and
`
`motion practice before this Court. Specifically, it provides that “[u]nless a Judge or Magistrate Judge
`
`advises the attorneys otherwise, all motions, regardless of their complexity and the relief sought,
`
`shall be presented and defended in the manner set forth in L. Civ. R. 7.1.”
`
`
`
`On the eve of trial, it is especially important that we do not depart from these procedural
`
`safeguards. Accordingly, Plaintiff’s informal application will not be entertained by the Court at this
`
`time. Should Plaintiff wish to resubmit its request, the Court urges counsel to use the appropriate
`
`procedural mechanism as governed by the Local Civil Rules.
`
`
`
`Thank you.
