`
`Re:
`
`Nokia Technologies OY v. HP, Inc., C.A. No. 23-cv-01237-GBW
`
`Dear Judge Williams:
`
`Defendant HP Inc. (“HP”) respectfully requests that the Court convene a scheduling
`conference in the above-referenced matter. The case is in a posture for the Court to set a
`schedule, as the case was filed on October 31, 2023, and the answer of Plaintiff Nokia
`Technologies OY (“Nokia”) to HP’s counterclaims is due on May 28, 2024. As HP’s
`counsel has told Nokia’s counsel, HP intends to propose that the Court bifurcate the case,
`and determine the fair, reasonable and non-discriminatory (FRAND) license rate for the
`patents at issue in a first phase of the case.
`
`Respectfully submitted,
`
` /s/ John V. Gorman
