`
`ORDER
`
`I am asked to sustain objections to a procedural ruling of the Special Master. (No. 16-
`
`453, D.I. 288). I review a procedural ruling for abuse of discretion. Fed. R. Civ. P. 53(t)(5).
`
`The Special Master set a page limit on expert reports. This is not something I have done before,

`
`although it is something I have thought about doing recently, as expert reports get longer and
`
`longer and therefore less and less useful.
`
`The limit set by the Special Master was 2500 pages. To put this in perspective, War and
`
`Peace, one of the longest works of fiction ever published, is 1440 pages when translated to
`
`English. I also note that it is routine to put limits on the length of a trial; I do not think it is
`
`unreasonable to put a limit on the length of expert reports. I do not think the Special Master
`
`abused his discretion.
`
`The objections are OVERRULED. The Special Master's Order No. 9 is AFFIRMED.
`
`IT IS SO ORDERED this .1_ day of September 2017.

`United States District Judge.
