`What is Widcon Technology?
`
`Previously, the circuit board between the application
`processor and memory meant that data had to move through
`wires when using Package-on-Package (PoP) technology. In
`the new package, the application processor and memory are
`stacked directly through TSV (Through Silicon Via)
`technology. This means data moves through each ball and
`the memory bandwidth improves to up to 17GB/s.
`
`Using this structure offers better energy efficiency while
`higher bandwidth allows the application processor to use its
`maximum performance capabilities even at low clock speeds.
`Furthermore, superior thermal dissipation comes from the
`TSV structure enabling the new Exynos 5 Octa processor to
`maximize its full potential performance even with lower power
`consumption.

`The new Exynos 5 Octa with enhanced memory bandwidth

`provides 30% wider memory bandwidth, but saves power
