`By publication of a notice in the Feder~! Register on May 2, 2012, pursuant to subsection

`(b) of section 337 of the Tariff Act of 1930, as amended, the Commission instituted this
`
`investigation to determine:
`
`[W]hether there is a violation of subsection ( a)(1 )(B) of section
`337 in the importation into the United States, the sale for
`importation, or the sale within the United States after importation
`of certain cameras and mobile devices, related software and
`firmware, and components thereof and products containing same
`that infringe one or more of claims 1-3 and 22 of the '003 patent
`[U.S. Patent No. 6,665,003] and claims 1-3, 10, 20,27-29, 36, and
`37 of the '284 patent [U.S. Patent No. 7,477,284], and whether an
`industry in the United States exists as required by subsection (a)(2)
`of section 337.
`

`The complainant is HumanEyes Technologies, Ltd. of Jerusalem, Israel. The respondents
`
`are Sony Corporation of Tokyo, Japan; Sony Corporation of America ofNew York, New York;
`
`Sony Electronics Inc. of San Diego, California; Sony Mobile Communications AB ofLondon,
`.
`United Kingdom; and Sony Mobile Communications (USA) Inc. of Atlanta, Georgia.
`
`The Office of Unfair Import Investigations is a party in this investigation. /d.

`Base(! upon the complaint, the notice of investigation, and the parties' discovery

`statements, the undersigned has determined that the initial determination on alleged violation of
`
`section 337 shall be due on May 3, 2013, and that the target date for completion of this

`investigation is September 3, 2013, which is 16 months after institution of the investigation. See
`
`19 C.F.R § 210.51(a); 19 C.F.R. § 210.42(a)(1Xi).
