`PROCEEDINGS
`
`
`Motion for Settlement for Preliminary Approval – HELD.
`
`The Court heard argument on plaintiffs’ motion for settlement for preliminary approval.
`
`The Court noted that the material terms of the settlement appear satisfactory, but several issues
`should be addressed. First, the first page of the class notice should be simplified, and the notice
`should include a table of contents. Second, the release language should be narrowed. Third, lead
`counsel should provide more support for their request for interest on attorneys’ fees. Fourth, lead
`counsel should address paragraphs 2 and 9 of the Northern District of California’s Procedural
`Guidance for Class Action Settlements. Parties to resubmit their motion for preliminary
`approval by May 21, 2024.
`
`This case is continued to May 31, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. for status conference re: settlement via
`Zoom. This hearing may be taken off the calendar if the Court deems the resubmitted stipulation
`sufficient.
