`Plaintiffs, Uniloc USA, Inc. and Uniloc Luxembourg, S.A. (collectively “Uniloc”),
`
`respectfully move the Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation (“Panel”) to transfer to the
`
`Northern District of Texas the twenty-five cases set forth in the Schedule of Actions for
`
`consolidation or coordination of pretrial proceedings.
`

`Uniloc filed the twenty-five actions listed in the attached Schedule of Actions.
`
`The twenty-five actions were filed in the six districts, alleging infringement by
`
`nine Defendants (or related Defendant groups) of differing combinations of seven patents, as
`
`detailed in the attached Schedule.
`

`The twenty-five actions are currently pending before thirteen different judges.
`
`Defendants have alleged noninfringement and invalidity of the patents.
`
`Accordingly, questions of fact regarding claim construction, validity and infringement of the
`
`seven patents will involve a substantial number of common factual questions.
`

`
`Transfer of these actions for coordinated or consolidated pretrial proceedings
`
`would promote the just and efficient conduct of the litigation, and would be in the interest of the
`
`parties, witnesses and courts.
`

`
`The earliest cases were filed in the Eastern District of Texas. However, six of
`
`those cases were recently transferred to the Northern District of California, where they are now
`
`assigned to a number of judges across all of the divisions, thereby resetting the schedules.
`
`7.
`
`The next earliest cases were filed in the Northern District of Texas, which is close
`
`to Uniloc’s principal office in Plano, Texas. The Northern District of Texas is also convenient
`
`for many of the Defendants, who have headquarters or significant offices in Texas; and is
`
`centrally located for the remaining Defendants, who are geographically dispersed.
