`
`IN THE UNITED STATES DISTRICT COURT
`
`FOR THE NORTHERN DISTRICT OF CALIFORNIA
`
`FINJAN, INC.,
`Plaintiff,
`
` v.
`JUNIPER NETWORKS, INC.,
`Defendant.
` /
`
`No. C 17-05659 WHA
`
`ORDER RE MOTION
`TO SHORTEN TIME
`
`The Court has considered plaintiff’s motion to shorten time (Dkt. No. 68) and
`defendant’s opposition thereto (Dkt. No. 71). The motion is GRANTED IN PART and DENIED IN
`PART. The deadline for defendant to oppose plaintiff’s motion for leave to amend (Dkt. No. 67)
`is advanced from May 3 to MAY 1 AT NOON. The deadline for any reply is advanced from May
`10 to MAY 4 AT NOON. The motion hearing is set for MAY 9 AT 8:00 A.M. No discovery on
`newly-accused products will be allowed or expedited until plaintiff successfully amends the
`complaint. Meanwhile, preparations for early summary judgment motions should proceed on
`the operative pleadings. Neither side should assume leave to amend will be granted, or that any
`amendment will justify expanding the universe of claims included in early summary judgment.
`
`IT IS SO ORDERED.
`
`Dated: April 24, 2018.
