`
`Narrative - Mathis, Tanner - 7/3/2022 1:56:09 PM (Initial)
`On July 24,2022 at approximately 10:50 a.m., | was dispatched to 121 N Aster Street in
`reference to a child custody issue. Dispatch advised Paul Lerch had requested a standby to
`pick up his son.
`:
`Once on scene, | made contact with Charity Edwards. Edwards stated that Lerch was
`suppose to pick up his sonfor the day for visitation. Edwards stated that it was agreed that
`Lerch would be therefor pick up at 8:00 a.m. Edwards stated Lerch never showed and
`through a phone call, learned that.instead, Lerch went to checkhis trot lines in Oklahoma.
`While speaking on the phone to Lerch, Edwards stated the conversation became heated
`where Lerch threatened her stating he would “end me”.
`
`| then contacted Lerch via phone; as he was still en route to the above address. | explained
`to Lerch that Edwards was notwilling to allow him visitation today, as she stated he was
`late and they had plans this evening. | requested the Lerch meet me at the Greenwood
`Police Department.
`
`At 11:40 a.m., Lerch arrived at the police department where | gathered a statement from
`him. Lerch stated that he and Edwards agreed that he could go check his trot lines and
`would be late picking up his son. Edwards then told Lerch that she had plans and was
`taking their son with her, which upsent Lerch. When |. questioned Lerch aboutthe threat
`towards Edwards,he denied ever saying so.
`
`~~T observed adocument that Edwards hadsignedthatstated the custodial and non-
`custodial parent would mutually agree on a 12-hourblock for visitation. The specific time
`was notlisted, although Edwards stated it was from 8 a.m. - 8 p.m.
`
`Lerch then requested weleave the Police department and standby at the above address so
`that he could ask Edwards for his son. Edwards denied.
