`On September 12, 2018, Everlight Electronics Co., Ltd., (“Petitioner
`2”)1 contacted the Board via email requesting a conference call to seek
`authorization to file a Motion for Joinder with Nichia Corporation v.
`Document Security Systems, Inc., Case IPR2018-00965 (“the 965
`proceeding”). According to the email, Document Security Systems, Inc.
`(“Patent Owner”) and the Petitioner in the 965 proceeding—Nichia
`Corporation (“Nichia”)—seek leave to file an opposition.
`Based on the record of this proceeding, Petitioner is authorized to file
`a motion for joinder with the 965 proceeding. Patent Owner and Nichia are
`authorized to file oppositions. Because Nichia is not a party to this
`proceeding, Nichia shall file, and separately serve, its opposition and any
`evidence in support of the opposition in the 965 proceeding. No other
`papers related to this proceeding are authorized to be filed in the 965
`proceeding.
`Accordingly, it is
`ORDERED that Petitioner’s request to file a Motion for Joinder with
`the 965 proceeding is granted;
`FURTHER ORDERED that the Motion for Joinder is due no later
`than October 2, 2018;
`FURTHER ORDERED that any Patent Owner Opposition and any
`Nichia Opposition to the Motion for Joinder are due no later than October
`16, 2018;

`motions, oppositions, and replies set forth per 37 C.F.R. § 42.24 for the
`respective filings.
