`Custom Structural Analysis of 8 Touch Screens from Motorola Devices
`Report ID#: 0611-27235-O-6C$-10
`
`This engineering report provides teardown and structural analysis of touch screen panels from
`seven different Motorola smart phones (Cliq XT, Flipout, Citrus, Droid 2, Cliq, Droid X, ATRIX
`4G) and one tablet (Xoom). The structural analysis is based on optical microscopy and Scanning
`Electron Microscopy (SEM).
`
`Section 2.0 consists of a teardown analysis of Motorola smart phones and tablet focusing on
`touch screen module, signal connection, and bonding area such as TCP (Tape Carrier Package).
`Section 3.0 shows images of multi-touch functions to support multi-touch feature on the devices.
`Section 4.0 is a structural analysis of the touch panel and its members. Section 5.0 includes
`optical / SEM topological imaging on the electrode patterns (wiring patterns) of the touch panel
`members.
`
`Major findings of the report are summarized in Section 6.0.
