With state analytics enabled, each docket event is tagged with an event type and, if applicable, a motion identifier and outcome. With state court analytics, users can view large trends in these and other jurisdictions. Docket Alarm’s API can now take advantage of SALI tags through two new AI endpoints - Area of Law and Forum and Venues The Area of Law endpoint takes a docket’s case type - whether it is state, federal, or an agency - and outputs the relevant SALI Area of Law tag.

The Forum and Venues endpoint works similarly - it takes a docket court field from Docket Alarm and converts it to the appropriate SALI tag.

Automated Docket Ingestion with vLex Docket Alarm: The second integration focuses on litigation, enabling the automatic loading of state and federal litigation filings from vLex Docket Alarm into the correct client and matter folders in iManage. This will help lawyers to access and share court filings from within the matter file in iManage. Additionally the court filings will be fully searchable in iManage by judge names, courts, jurisdiction, and other relevant search criteria.

Searching for a company’s litigation record is rarely as simple as entering a name and clicking “search.” Companies may be listed on dockets under dozens of variations— parent corporations, subsidiaries, business units, misspellings and more.

Judgment Extraction:
This endpoint returns judgment information from any case in Docket Alarm’s library. Simply enter a docket number and corresponding court name. When judgment data is located, the Judgment Extraction endpoint retrieves verdict data, including:

Ask a Docket:
This endpoint harnesses language processing to extract structured values from Docket Alarm's database. Ask a Docket returns detailed answers in a matching format, paired with a citation to relevant docket data. At scale, the endpoint provides an excellent method for streamlining mass data research and entry. An example is as follows:

Question: "Is this case pre or post discovery?"
Answer: “Discovery is not complete in this case.”

Exciting news for legal practitioners in the Badger State: Docket Alarm has broadened its coverage to Wisconsin, encompassing all 72 counties, including key cities like Milwaukee, Madison, and Green Bay. This expansion provides access to Circuit Court data dating back to 2017.

Vincent AI can now analyze any type of legal document from Docket Alarm– complaints, motions, patents, trademarks, orders and more. Some examples of Vincent AI’s analysis include:

Extract and Analyze Claims - This skill outlines the claims stated in a complaint, along with the citations, facts, witnesses, and parties for each claim. Vincent then explores the questions that a lawyer would ask to assess the strengths and weaknesses of each cause of action for each claim.
Generate Defenses to Each Claim - Vincent AI can propose defenses to each listed claim and provide supporting authority.

Exciting news from Docket Alarm: we've expanded our coverage in Kansas and Texas! In Kansas, we now cover Shawnee and Wyandotte counties, while in Texas, we now cover Bell County, Wichita County, Jasper County, and Gonzales County. With these additions, Docket Alarm now covers a total of 61 counties in Texas and 37 in Kansas.
